MIO’s Finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst to focus primarily on budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis of MIO’s corporate entities. This individual will support the Senior Project Manager and the Corporate Accounting team responsible for the budgeting and forecasting process. It is expected that the new hire report to our offices in Midtown, New York 3 days/week. COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for this position (subject to accommodation for health and religious reasons).

Primary responsibilities

  • Create annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for MIO’s corporate entities in the US and overseas and assist in the analysis of these financials
  • Generate necessary reports from MIO’s internal timesheet tracking tool to drive the cost allocation methodology for budgets/forecasts
  • Manage the IT cost forecasting model and coordinate with IT team leaders to capture key inputs for this model
  • Manage compensation benchmark data sets and assist in development of compensation ranges
  • Assist in the building of the annual compensation model for compensation budgeting/forecasting purposes and prepare compensation analyses
  • Prepare monthly headcount reports for senior management
  • Assist in producing reporting and presentations for senior leadership and MIO’s Board of Directors
  • Provide analysis in support of ad hoc projects

Desired background and skills

  • Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting from an accredited university
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting or finance analytics at a financial services firm preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize work independently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Collaborative team player
  • Mature individual able to manage highly confidential data
