MIO’s Client Service team is seeking a highly motivated Client Service Specialist to join our global team based in Atlanta, GA. This is a client-facing role that entails providing investor relations support to McKinsey U.S. taxpayer Partners and their immediate family members. The CS Specialist will report to MIO’s Client Service Manager who is based in New York.

Primary Responsibilities

Investment Offering Support and General Investor Relations
The CS Specialist will share responsibility for the administration of the offering process for MIO’s hedge fund, through which Partners can invest in or redeem from, and for responding to general inquiries from Partners and third parties.

  • Review offering-related material from investors and assist with completion of required forms
  • Liaise with MIO Advisory team on investor suitability
  • Assist MIO counsel with review of entity formation documents to determine eligibility
  • Review and track required compliance documents
  • Work with the finance team and third parties to ensure transactions are processed efficiently for the investor
  • Engage closely with IT team on development of investor-facing applications
  • Assist with MIO website support e.g., requests for access, contact updates
  • Send statements/custom letters/reports to investors and third parties upon request
  • Liaise with finance and legal teams on transfers of ownership

MIO Investor Tax Reporting
The CSS will support the team in matters regarding tax documentation.

  • Assist with the annual distribution of tax documents to investors and authorized third parties
  • Track custom investor requests
  • Administer the Third-Party Authorization process working directly with investors’ accountants, attorneys and external advisors

Desired Background

  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in client service, investor relations, or similar client-facing role
  • A bachelor’s degree from a well-regarded institution
  • Strong computer skills, particularly skilled in Microsoft Excel
  • A basic understanding of investment products and financial markets
  • Natural intellectual curiosity and an interest in finance and investor relations

• Possess an extremely high service-orientation, be detail oriented, and very organized with strong follow-up skills • Have integrity, discretion, and maturity when working with sensitive financial matters • Be a team player who places the interests of the organization and clients first and is accustomed to multitasking in a readily changing environment while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability
